Doppler Veterinary

Building a Brand Worthy of the Pitch.

Doppler Veterinary Network came to Contraire in the earliest days of their business—before they had clinics, a team, and the financial backing they were working toward. What they had was a clear vision and a business plan, and they needed a brand that could credibly represent them in acquisition and partnership conversations with veterinary practice owners and potential investors.

I started by building a simple Squarespace site quickly so leadership could professionally present their vision in early conversations. As those conversations progressed and the brand strategy took shape, the engagement expanded into a full brand identity program.

The Work

I led competitive analysis to identify white space in the veterinary network landscape and develop a visual direction that set Doppler apart from the consolidation-focused competitors dominating the space. From there, I developed multiple design concepts and facilitated three feedback sessions with a focus group of roughly ten veterinary founders and network board members, distilling their input across different regions and roles into a refined creative direction.

The final brand system included a logotype and brand icon, full brand guidelines, business cards, ID cards, social media templates, presentation templates, print collateral, a network animation, and a website—everything a growing network needs to show up consistently across every touchpoint, from a clinic window decal to an investor presentation.

Outcome

Since launching in January 2022, Doppler has grown from a startup with no clinics and one full-time employee to a network of 25 partner hospitals across three regions, Omaha, Indianapolis, and Southeast Atlanta, backed by private equity firm Lindsay Goldberg.
